Saturday Nov 22, 2025!
Starts 1:00 PMish, first turkey ready at 3:00 PMish
3732 Camelot Drive
Annandale VA, 22003
12 YEARS. A DOZEN YEARS of deep fried turks, a dozen pineapple stuffings, a dozen fire extinguishers on deck (with no incidents ever). A dozen cookie cakes, keg stands for dozens of seconds, leaves in the frying oil, unnecessary wrestling matches, sweet taters, oh my!
2025 and it's Friendsgiving o'clock! As per usual, I'll be deep frying some turkeys and will have a keg at the ready. We may also make a couple of sides for early snacking, and will provide some the earthiest brie the brand new Aldi has to offer. For all other food we have the potluck! Show off your skills across all food types, appetizers, sides, and deserts. If you've been looking for an excuse to expriment with a non-traditional Thanksgiving dish, its the perfect time!
Please RSVP with the link above to help us plan for food!

TIMING FOR THE UNINITIATED:
Everyone is welcome starting at 1PM, which is about when I'll start heating oil for the turks. Seeing the turkeys go in the frier is a spectacle so arriving in time for that is neato. The target time for the first turkey being ready is ~3PM, and the rest following after. Most folks arrive in the 2PM hour, but the coolest kids arrive in the 1PM hour. We don't do a formal sit down meal, so no need to arrive a speficic time.
POTLUCK CONSIDERATIONS:
- For keeping things warm, we'll have some sterno chafing trays for items that need it, but don't plan on needing oven space!!
- We'll have some labels for people to write down their dish, who brought it, and any allergen info you think is notable. Also any flavor notes, eating instructions, poetic observations of the recipe origin, etc.
- We'll have a bunch of 1/2 size chafing pans to transfer dishes into so people can take their cookware home. We'll also have plenty of tin foil and plates for people to take some to-go.
PARKING:
There's plenty of street parking in the block around the house, please leave the driveway clear!
